I never get tired of seeing the billowing cream in my morning cup of Joe. It's a routine that resonates with a lot of people and, I think, a subject very worthy of painting. Getting close to the finish line on this one. 24" x 24"
A heavy pour 26 | Feb
Just handed this piece over to Nathan for him to add to it for his show in April. It's 24" x 24". That's a mighty large glass of bourbon. Can't wait to see what Nathan does with it!

Red line 29 | Sep
Painting the string red made such a difference. This piece is closing in on the finish. Now I'm going back into all of the fruit and adjusting values.
Lemon 11 | Aug
First pass done... Now I'll go in for a second pass to smooth things out and tighten up the detail.
Inanimate? 23 | Jul
Even a still life can tell a story. This one is getting close to being finished.
I almost didn’t think this day would come when looking over my bank of images that I wanted to execute for the show in April, but time always passes (thankfully with no headaches this time) and I’m happy to be finishing the last painting. See you soon, “low country”! -Brett
